A new year and time to get trained! Every boy deserves a
trained leader, and training makes your job as a Troop 98 parent
easier.
Here is the training every parent needs to have:
YPT: (once every
3 years)
If you did not have your membership card with your BSA ID
number, you can do one of the following:
1. Email Patricia at
pphillips@longhorn.org. If you are registered she can
help you find your member ID number. Then return to the YPT
program, go through it quickly to the end and retake the test
and input your number, or
2. After you have passed the test, download the A Letter
from your Scout Executive, print it out, and take it to
Longhorn Council headquarters, and they will issue you a YPT
card.
Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters: (If
you are not on the Troop Committee, you are an Assistant
Scoutmaster and need this training. If you took the old
(pre-2003) Scoutmaster Fundementals, you don't need to retake
this class).
Part 1: February 18, 2006, location to be announced.
Part 2: March 3 - 5, 2006, Hills & Hollows, cost $20.
Venturing
Adult and Youth members of the Venturing Crew must attend
Venture Leader Specific Training, which includes special Venture
YPT.
