Troop Historian

Current Troop 98 Historian:

Steve J.

Duties:

• Collects and maintains Troop memorabilia, trophies, awards, and keepsakes.

• Keeps information on a former Troop members.

• makes photographic record of Troop meetings, outings, and special events.

• Gathers pictures and facts about past activities of the Troop and keeps these in permanent forms, such as scrapbooks, wall displays, etc.

Qualifications:

• Appointed by the SPL with the SM's consent.

• First Class rank of higher.

• Be a member of the Troop for at least six months.

• Have attended at least one long-term camp.

• Demonstrate consistent attendance at Troop meetings and monthly campouts.

• Demonstrate active progress toward the next rank or earn additional merit badges.

• Agree to attend District or Council-level training courses designed to help him serve in his office.

• Scoutmaster(s) can amend the qualifications for this position at anytime.
