Troop Librarian

Current Troop 98 Librarian:

Duties:

• Keeps Troop's books, pamphlets, magazines, audiovisuals, and Merit Badge Counselor list available for use by Troop members.

• Advises SPL or SM on need for new or replacement materials.

• Keeps Merit Badge Counselor list.

Qualifications:

• Appointed by the SPL with the SM's consent.

• First Class rank or higher.

• Be a member of the Troop for at least six months.

• Have attended at least one long-term camp.

• Demonstrate consistent attendance at Troop meetings and monthly campouts.

• Demonstrate active progress toward the next rank or earn additional merit badges.

• Agree to attend District or Council-level training courses designed to help him serve in his office.

• Scoutmaster(s) can amend the qualifications for this position at anytime.
