Scout Oath and Law.

Wear the uniform
correctly.

Directs the
performance of the Patrol in Troop and Patrol activities.

Leads the Patrol
Members toward advancement.

Communicates
between the Troop and the Patrol members as needed (keeps them
informed).

Develops Patrol
spirit and discipline.

Understands the
needs of the members of the Patrl.

Instruct Patrol
members in Scout craft and skills.

Makes sure that
the Patrol members who need advancement help, get it.

Calls Patrol
members before each activity (i.e. Troop meeting, campout, etc.)
to:

Remind him to be
in his uniform with his book at the next activity.

Ask them what is
happening...any problems or concerns... and offer help.

Ask if he has
any ideas of topics to discuss at the PLC meeting.

Encourage him
and compliment him on his work in the Patrol.

Keep him
informed.

Tell him what's
expected of him for the upcoming activity.

Uses the BSA
Hand boo and the Patrol Leader Handbook for guidelines.

Helps the Patrol
plan the menu and budget for the next campout. Shop for the food
or delegate.

Collects the
money and gives it to the member(s) buying the food.
-
Assigns duty
rosters (i.e. fire and water, cooking and clean-up).
-
Makes tent
assignments.
-
Ensures that the
Patrol campsite is set up properly and safely.
